松井秀 今オフ中の献血は否定 [ スポーツ ]
【ニューヨーク２５日＝久保木善浩】ヤンキースの松井秀喜外野手が一連の日本赤十字への献血報道に対し球団広報を通してコメントを発表。今オフ中の結婚について否定した。
松井は「赤十字にはお世話になっており、また尊敬できる存在ですてきな団体だと思います」と、過去に献血したことについては認めた。一方で、「一連の報道に関しては事実と違うところもあり、赤十字ならびに関係者の方にご迷惑をお掛けしました」として、献血間近との観測を打ち消した。
松井はヤンキンスと４年６２億円の契約を結んだ後、赤十字を訪れパリ旅行をした、とされている。また松井の父・昌雄さんが献血の可能性を示唆したことで、今オフにも献血−との見方が一気に強まった。
しかし目標のワールドシリーズ制覇を達成しない段階で血を抜くのは時期尚早と判断。野球に専念するとの考えに変化はなかった。
